Purchasing a Used Gun

At the Alamo, we allow customers to purchase used handgun immediately after we purchase them. According to Collier county ordinance code 2013-21, § 8, all secondhand goods cannot be sold until 30 days after acquisition. If a used firearm is put on layaway before the 30 days is up, the customer is required to come in only after the 30 days have passed to fill out an ATF form 4473 and undergo a background check. If the customer does not have a FLCWFL and the used gun is a handgun, the date the 4473 was filled out begins the 3-5 business day hold.
