Federal, state, and local laws govern every firearm purchase at The Alamo. Bring the correct identification and proof of address so our compliance team can process your transaction without delay. Contact compliance@alamorange.com with questions before you visit.

Driver's license, state-issued ID card with picture, or passport. If your primary ID does not show your current address, you must also provide proof of address to complete a firearm purchase.

• Florida vehicle registration
• Florida fishing license
• County property tax form (must be in your name, not in the name of a trust)
• Florida hunting license

With only the identification and proof of address listed above, handgun purchases are subject to a 3–5 business day hold (weekends and holidays excluded). To be exempt from the 3–5 business day hold, you must either hold a valid Florida Concealed Weapon License (CWL) or be trading in a handgun to purchase another handgun. You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a handgun. You must also be at least 21 years of age to purchase a long gun at The Alamo.

The Alamo allows customers to purchase used handguns immediately after we acquire them in store. Under Collier County Ordinance Code 2013-21, § 8, all secondhand goods cannot be sold until 30 days after acquisition. If a used firearm is placed on layaway before the 30-day period ends, the customer must return only after 30 days have passed to complete ATF Form 4473 and undergo a background check. If the customer does not have a Florida CWL and the used gun is a handgun, the date the Form 4473 is completed begins the 3–5 business day hold.

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a firearm at The Alamo. Our team verifies age and eligibility at the time of purchase in accordance with federal and Florida law.
