FFL Transfers

The Alamo network processes incoming and outgoing FFL transfers at participating venues. Policies and fees vary by venue — review the sections below for your venue.

• Handguns & long guns: $60 for the first item (actual shipping cost applies for multiple items).
• By law, handguns MUST be shipped 2-Day Air.
• Long guns ship ground unless otherwise specified.
• Insurance available at $1 per hundred-dollar value.
• Hawaii and Alaska incur actual shipping costs.
• Transfer fees apply to firearms NOT purchased at The Alamo.

• Include the receiving customer's name and contact number with all incoming transfers.
• Delivery notifications from carriers do NOT mean the item is ready for pickup — wait for contact from a transfer agent.
• Transfers are processed Tuesday – Friday, in order received. Allow up to 7 business days for processing (longer during high volume).
• 30 calendar days to pick up; after that, $10/day storage fee per firearm until pickup or abandonment policy applies.
• Accepts transfers from FFL dealers and private individuals (private transfers require sender's driver's license with current physical address).

• Valid Florida driver's license or state ID with current physical address (FDLE requirement).
• Other acceptable proof of residency: FL vehicle registration, voter registration, or hunting/fishing license.
• 3–5 business day waiting period for handguns, rifles, and shotguns (varies by county), unless a valid Florida CWL is presented.

• Outgoing transfers ship only to another FFL; handguns ship 2nd Day Express.
• Firearms purchased at The Alamo and shipped within 30 days incur shipping fees only; transfer fees apply after 30 days or for firearms not purchased here.
• All outgoing firearms require a hard case (purchased on site or provided by customer).
• Contact transfers@alamorange.com for estates, trusts, and legal transfers.

• All transfers must arrive with valid paperwork.
• Allow up to 48 hours after arrival before your order is ready.
• Valid Florida ID with current physical address required.
• 3-day waiting period on firearms (excluding weekends/holidays) unless a valid Florida CWL is presented.
• Accepts transfers from FFL dealers and private individuals (sender's driver's license required for private party transfers).
• Outbound transfers to other FFL dealers available.

• Valid Florida driver's license or ID with current physical address required.
• 3-day waiting period on handguns (excluding weekends/holidays) unless a valid Florida CWL is presented.
• Firearms not picked up within 30 days are subject to a $5/day storage fee.
• Accepts transfers from FFL dealers and private individuals (sender's driver's license required for individual transfers).
• Outgoing transfers must ship in a protective case (customer-provided or purchased in store).
